BIM Job Captain - Mechanical
BIM Department
Develops and Maintains BIM Standards, BIM Manuals, and related standards while coordinating project workflow criteria. Reports directly to the BIM Manager and is responsible for verifying the correctness, accuracy, and consistency of the BIM model developed and created by BIM Modelers.
Responsibilities:

Work under the direction of BIM Managers

Supervise tasks and project task schedules of BIM modelers

Assist in Developing/Revising/Updating BIM models based on model reviews and ensure accuracy

Perform multiple model reviews as needed to ensure ISO 19650 compliance.

Adherence to BIM Standards, BIM Manuals, and BIM Project workflow criteria

Collaborate tasks with BIM modelers for developing/revising/updating BIM models based on model reviews
-
Interface and coordinate with firms for BIM-related activities where needed
-
Create custom parametric families based on project requirements and specifications.

Ensure all productions are completed on schedule or in a timely manner.

Assist BIM Manager in creating/editing project templates for compliance with standards

Ensure all exported information is recorded in the correct directory.

Implements the use of correct share coordinates and all other internal standards on all projects.

Monitor the scheduled submissions, task delegations amongst the BIM modelers, and actual team progress

Formalize the conducted initial clash analysis and documented BIM issue reports for review.

Assist BIM managers in maintaining and developing document structures, BIM manuals, and project standards.
Qualifications:
-
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and should be PRC Registered and Licensed Mechanical Engineer.

Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Architecture / Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering and PRC Registered and Licensed Architect / Civil Engineer / Structural Engineer with experience in the respective field is applicable.

At least four (4) years of work experience in BIM and at least five (5) years of work experience in respective field (design/on-site)

At least two (2) years of work experience in a Supervisory position in the respective field.

Knowledgeable and has advanced skills in the use of AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM software.

Knowledge of other BIM software, such as Civil 3D, Tekla Structures, Autodesk Infraworks, Autodesk Inventor, etc., is an advantage.

Knowledgeable and has advanced skills in plan reading of Mechanical discipline
-
Knowledgeable in plan reading of at least two (2) in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) disciplines.

Keen attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of designs.
